Imagine if you did nothing but sit on the couch for six months, watching TV and eating pizza. month. Then, all of a sudden, someone forces you to get up and run a mile as fast as you can. You probably wouldn’t be able to do it, would you? Now imagine that it wasn’t you sitting there not doing anything, but it was your fire pump, and after six months of inactivity, it has to spring into action to protection for building from a fire.
